What is FileGenius? : Compatibility
Without 100% compatibility, how does a file transfer solution fulfill the promise of handling your files error-free?
FileGenius is a 100% server-side web application.
If you need more than a Javascript-capable browser, then you can't claim uncompromising compatibility. No plug-ins, no downloadable applets, no anything.
FileGenius requires nothing but your Javascript-capable browser. Major releases* of Windows or OS X, along with their Java components and various browsers, are all compatible with FileGenius.
FileGenius was developed in a rigorous test environment*, using the latest version class of the following browsers on the indicated OS platforms:
| Browser | Platform |
|---|---|
| Internet Explorer v7 | Windows XP, Vista |
| Internet Explorer v6 | Windows 2000, XP |
| Firefox (Mozilla) v2 | Windows 2000, XP, Vista; Mac OS 10.3-10.4 |
| Firefox (Mozilla) v3 | Windows 2000, XP, Vista; Mac OS 10.3-10.5 |
| Netscape v9 (Mozilla) | Windows 2000, XP, Vista; Mac OS 10.3-10.4 |

Great features are not enough.
In our working world of diverse hardware, evolving operating systems, and complex network environments, it's not enough for a web application to have great features. Today's web applications have to have great features that work perfectly with ALL major hardware brands, ALL major operating systems, ALL popular web browsers, and with popular email clients like Outlook, Outlook Express, Apple Mail, Windows Mail, and Entourage for OS X.
One of the best ways to ensure compatibility is to pack 32 years worth of hands-on, professional systems integration experience into your file transfer solution. That's exactly what the developers of FileGenius did.
